This grill is super easy to use because all of the controls are right on the front of the device. Even better, you can actually choose from symbols that are going to help you get exactly what you’re looking for instead of getting numbers that may be difficult to understand. You can choose the type of food you’re cooking based on pictures for turkey, fish, steak and a whole lot more and can even choose if the food you’re cooking is frozen.

Once you’ve decided on the type of food you can also check the dial to see what level of ‘done’ you want it to be. And those levels aren’t represented with numbers either. You can see medium, well done, rare and everything in between so you get exactly what you’re looking for from the food you choose. There are six different cooking programs for the different types of food and it will let you know what’s going on in the grill by lighting up each of the rotations for different levels of doneness as well as preheating.

  • If you don’t like any of the preset levels that’s completely fine as well because you’ll be able to turn it to manual mode instead and get your food exactly the way that you want. All you have to do is preheat and get going.
  • Plus the grill itself is made with diecast aluminum for durability and has nonstick plates that ensure your food comes off quickly and easily. Not only that but you can put the plates directly in the dishwasher along with the drip tray that makes sure there’s less mess on your counters to clean.

Cuisinart is a pretty well-known brand when it comes to just about any kitchen appliances and this griddler is definitely no exception to their high quality rules. There are five different settings for this grill which include a contact grill, Panini press, full grill, full griddler and half and half. That way you can create any kind of dish you want with one single tool, instead of a kitchen full of tools.

Even better, the outside is brushed stainless steel so it looks sleek and nice sitting on your counter but it’s the perfect size to put away in the cupboard if you prefer. You’ll be able to easily clean it up and put it somewhere out of the way. Not only that but you have a floating cover to make sure no matter how thick your food is you’re getting a good heat all the way through and you have a heavy duty handle to help with moving it.

The cooking plates will drain out into the drip tray easily and they are entirely nonstick so you can remove your food with no problem. Plus you can reverse them and put them in the dishwasher to make your cleanup process a whole lot simpler. With three different knobs on the front you can set the perfect setting for your cooking purposes as well as the level of heat that you want.

  • If you do have a little bit of a mess on your plates you can use the included scraping tool to get anything off and then you can throw it into the dishwasher as well. You’re definitely going to have a great time using this grill and making sure that your family has some of the best meals they’ve had through the colder seasons.

With this grill you’re going to get the same results you would with an outdoor grill but without having to set foot outside. Unlike the other options, this is not a contact grill and actually looks similar to an outdoor grill. What’s really unique about it, however, is that you can actually get it with a window installed on the top so you don’t have to open it up when you want to check on how your food looks. That definitely helps to cut down on the overall cooking time.

You can cook enough for 4-6 people at one time and you’ll be able to remove the plates to clean them in the dishwasher when you’re done. The settings for your heat are very simple as there’s only one dial on the device and you can set it for searing or different temperature levels so you always know what you’re going to get. The attached drip tray is also dishwasher safe so you have a lot less cleaning to do.

  • This grill is going to be very similar to the outdoor grill you’re used to so if you’re a master on that grill you’re going to absolutely love this one. You’ll even be able to see when the grill is ready and preheated or if you need to give it a little more time. Plus you can remove the grill cover if it gets a little dirty and wipe it down by hand.
  • With the high quality that you’re looking for and a non-stick surface that keeps your food just the way you like it, you’re definitely going to love this grill. Plus you’ll be able to cook plenty of food quickly enough that your entire family can eat together, which is definitely an important thing as well.

Indoor Grill Buyer’s Guide

Power Level

You want a grill that is going to give you enough power that you can really enjoy your next meal. After all, you don’t want to be sitting around waiting for a long time trying to get your grill to give you enough heat. You also want to make sure that your grill can recover if you open up the lid. After all, you’re not going to be able to see your food if you don’t open the lid and if it takes too long for the grill to heat back up when you close it again you’re going to be waiting even longer to get back to your meal, definitely not something you want to happen.

Adjustable Heat Level

You want to be able to cook a number of different things with the same grill and that can be a little difficult because you need different levels of heat for each one. That’s because an indoor grill actually has more range for what you can make than a traditional grill. If you can adjust the heat easily you’ll be able to make some sandwiches on day one and some steaks on day two without having to worry about anything. That’s definitely going to make for a great few meals for you and your family and it’s going to ensure that you’re ready to start cooking fast.

Floating Hinges

In a traditional grill and even some indoor electric grills you’re going to have a more rounded lid that’s designed to help you get a more traditional cooking ability. With a contact grill however, the more common type of indoor grill, you need something that will sit flat on top of the food you’re cooking. If it doesn’t then you end up with uneven cooking and that’s going to result in food that’s not quite done or that’s entirely overdone. With the floating hinge you don’t have to worry about that and you can eat a lot faster (and a lot better).

Power Cord

An electric grill, which is the only safe kind of grill to use inside your home, is going to have a power cord and you want to make sure the power cord is long enough for your purposes. If you don’t have an outlet close to where you want to set the grill you need to have a longer cord available. If you’re going to be right next to a power outlet you might not need to worry about where your nearest one is or how long your power cord is going to be. You’ll be ready to go with anything.

An electric grill is going to give you the freedom to enjoy some of your favorite grilled foods at any time of the year. You won’t have to worry about having to go outside into the cold to get your grill going. Instead, you can actually get the same type of food in the same amount of time from the warmth and comfort of your own kitchen. That’s definitely going to be a benefit and it’s going to make everything a whole lot more fun for you and your family. Enjoy the weather and enjoy the great food you really want.
