Best Electronic Dartboard Reviews

Having a little bit of fun with some friends and family can be a great thing no matter what time of year or what the occasion. But figuring out what you’re going to do can definitely be somewhat of a drag.

The best thing you can do is set up your own gameroom somewhere in the house, and the best way to start that out is with an electronic dartboard that will give you plenty of amusement for a long time to come.

The Viper 800 is designed like a regulation dartboard with a regulation target area of 15.5″. It also has a thermal resin material makeup for the target area which means that it’s ready and sturdy for anything at all. You won’t have any problems getting a good solid hit or getting your darts back out of the board as you’re playing because it has a thin spider to increase the ability for tight groupings.

There is even storage right on the board that allows you to store two sets of darts directly with the board. You can also store some extra tips right on the board so you can make sure that nothing ever gets lost. Of course, you can play with up to 16 different players so you will need to find a different place to store all the rest of the darts that your players are going to need. The Fat Cat 727 is a little bit smaller than the others, with a 13″ face instead of the regulation 15.5″. You will be able to play a lot of different games however as this unit has 18 games with 96 options. The system is a little simpler but you’ll still be able to use it quite easily and see what you’re doing at the same time.

The screen in the bottom corner lets you know whose turn it is as well as what your other settings are so you know what you’re getting into at all times. You’ll also have no problem figuring out which game you want to play because there’s a list right on the board to let you know what games are available and how to set them up to get started.

This board requires AA batteries, but that’s definitely not going to be a problem because you can pick them up anywhere. You also get a set of darts to get you started so all you need is a partner to play against. This is definitely a bargain board but you’re going to love the way that it plays because it really does give you more than your money’s worth.

  • This board is lightweight so you can easily move it if needed and you have none of the high entrance cost for something that you’re really just looking to have some fun with. It’s up to you if you want to spend more money, but for most people a simple board is all that they need.

Electronic Dartboard Buyer’s Guide

Dartboard Type

The first thing you really need to look at is whether you want a traditional dartboard, like the ones that you find in bars and clubs, or an electronic dartboard. Now we’ve already gone through several of the best electronic options, but that doesn’t mean you definitely want that. Not everyone wants this type of electronic and high tech dartboard. Some people prefer having something more old fashioned and traditional. You should figure out which type you’re looking for before you head out to the store and decide to buy something. There are plenty of reasons why each is better than the other so it’s actually all about what is most important to you.

Display Clarity

The display clarity is going to be an important feature if you’ve decided on an electronic dartboard. It’s going to help you see the score and what you’re doing a whole lot better and that’s definitely going to be important when it comes to playing. You want to make sure that you have a good amount of clarity and that your display is going to be accurate as well. If you can’t see it or it’s not working then it’s definitely not doing you any good. Make sure you take a good look at how it functions and make sure that where you’re standing to throw you’re going to have a good view.

Additional Accessories

With some boards you’re only going to get the dartboard itself. Others may actually have additional features and accessories that come with the board. For example, some boards may have a case that you can close around them to keep them safe and free of dust and other debris when they’re not being used. Some may come with additional pieces like extra darts or even pieces to make your game a whole lot more fun. In most cases you’re going to pay a little extra to get these additional features, but you’re definitely going to have high quality in the end.

Players Allowed

One thing you want to make sure you’re checking out as well is how many players you can have at one time. Not all dartboards allow you to use as many players as you want. Some will only allow you to have 2 or 3 players while the more expensive and high tech ones might allow you to have up to 8 players. If you’re okay with only having smaller games you can opt for one of the smaller boards. If you’re looking for something that will allow everyone in your family to play, however, you want to make sure you have a larger and more accessible board that can keep track of everyone’s scores.

If you’re looking for a dartboard you don’t want to settle for anything but what you really want. There are plenty of boards out there and you can get something to set up in your home for as little as $10, but you want to make sure that the dartboard you have is actually going to give you the quality that you’re looking for. This is especially true if you want an electronic dartboard which needs to have the capability of actually recording information and repeating it back to you. If you don’t have something that’s at least a good quality you could end up having to buy a new one very quickly.
